Jason Wyrick is a NY Times Bestselling Author and the Executive Chef and owner of The Vegan Taste, the world’s longest running vegan prepared meal delivery company. He was also the Executive Chef and owner of Casa Terra, Arizona’s only elevated vegan dining restaurant. Before closing for Covid, Casa Terra was named as one of Phoenix’ top 25 restaurants in its first year of operations.
In 2001, Chef Jason reversed type II diabetes by adopting a healthy, plant-based diet and lost over 100 pounds in the process. He left his job as the Director of Marketing for a tech company to become a vegan chef and instructor in order to help others achieve the same results. He also strongly believes in compassionate eating and the environmental impact of our food choices.
He was the first vegan instructor to teach in the world famous Le Cordon Bleu program and has traveled the world teaching professional chefs both the art and the business side of vegan cuisine. He is the NY Times Bestselling Co-author of 21 Day Weight Loss Kickstart, Powerfoods for the Brain, Vegan Tacos, and Vegan Mexico. He was the food editor for Living the Farm Sanctuary Life, Blue Zones Kitchen, Clean Protein, and Plant-based Muscle and has contributed to a myriad of books and magazines throughout his career. He also published The Vegan Culinary Experience, the world’s first vegan food magazine. He also travels the world leading vegan food tours.
Chef Jason has worked with a number of vegan food businesses and restaurants over the past three years to assist with product development and streamline their operations. His time with The Vegan Taste has given him a unique perspective on how to create operational efficiency while maintaining restaurant quality meals, even through large scale production.
In 2019, he was asked to cook for the First Family and has cooked for celebrities and politicians like Corey Booker.
Over the past two and a half years, he has donated over 20,000 meals to families in need and believes in giving back to the community as much as possible.
